v18.9.0: Quotes, drawings, cut lists and time clocks read into the record.

Supplier quotes, drawing revisions, cut lists, time clock readings and bank guarantees no longer have to be keyed in by hand. The platform reads each one into the record it belongs to, checks it, and a person confirms before anything becomes a bid, a price list, a purchase order or a ledger entry.

Bill of quantities editor
Bill of quantities editor, which now supports bill branches and spreadsheet-style editing.

Full release notes

Version 18.9.0 is a release about the places where figures used to be retyped. A supplier quote, a drawing revision, a cut list, a time clock reading and a bank guarantee each used to live in a file somebody had to key into the bill or the ledger. In this release each of them is read into the record it belongs to, checked, and confirmed by a person.

What is in version 18.9.0

  • Estimate branches. Fork a bill, compare two branches by position, section or cost group, and merge the changes you want against the common ancestor. The bill also edits like a spreadsheet, and every quantity can be traced to the drawing sheet and revision it came from.
  • Supplier quotes become a comparison. Quotes arrive as PDF, scan, Excel or email. The platform reads them with a confidence per field, levels the missing lines with plug rates, and a person confirms before anything becomes a bid, a price list or a purchase order.
  • Sealed tender submissions. Bids stay hidden until an audited opening after the deadline, optionally by two people, and every bidder gets a receipt with a time stamp and checksum. Priced GAEB X84 files import as bids after a check against the bill, and addenda track who has acknowledged them.
  • Drawing compare and cutting optimisation. Two revisions of a drawing are overlaid, each change can raise a draft RFI, and measurements affected are flagged for re-measure. Cut lists for bars and sheets become cutting patterns with the waste factor proposed to the bill.
  • Money in one view. A WIP schedule with over and under billing, a portfolio cash-flow forecast with the peak funding requirement, a register of bank guarantees and bonds, payroll periods, and cost benchmarks with P10, P50 and P90 bands.
  • The site keeps working offline. A geofenced time clock, diary, punch and inspection records that merge when the connection returns, photo evidence, handover dossiers, a last planner board, site sensors and meeting minutes from audio that a person confirms one proposal at a time.
  • Pakistan and Egypt. Two country packs with taxes, payment terms, calendars and demo projects. Rates are not shipped, and every figure is marked for review by a local specialist.
  • Documents in your language. Registers, forms, reports, emails and exports follow the reader's language, and Urdu, Hindi, Thai, Japanese and Korean text is drawn in the right script instead of boxes.

A person confirms

The new modules that read documents or listen to audio follow one rule. The platform proposes, shows how sure it is and where it read each figure, and nothing is written to a bill, a bid or an action register until someone confirms it. Sealed tendering is a tool for running a sealed procedure; it does not by itself make a procedure comply with a particular procurement law.

Fixes

The DWG and IFC converter installs on Windows are fixed, and the converter checksums were repinned so the downloads verify again.
